From Portland, OR travel east on Interstate 84 to exit #31, Multnomah Falls. Park and walk south, underneath the interstate and railroad tracks to the Lodge and Visitor Middle.
From Cascade Locks, OR travel west on Interstate 84 to exit #31.
Car Free options: The Columbia Gorge Express offers daily jitney service between Portland, Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks and Hood River, OR. In summertime months (May-September), there is a free Columbia Gorge Express shuttle from Rooster Rock State Park ($v mean solar day use fee per vehicle).

Day Hiking
One of the most popular hikes in the Columbia River Gorge. From the Multnomah Falls visitor centre, a steep trail climbs to cross the historic Benson Bridge.
